On February 26, 2017, The Smithtown Township Fire Chiefs Council held their Annual Memorial Service for the deceased Chiefs, Ex-Chiefs and members of the fire departments and auxiliaries of the Smithtown Township. The service was held at the Kings Park Fire Department, members from Commack, Nesconset, Smithtown, Kings Park, Saint James, Hauppauge and Nissequoge Fire Departments gathered together to pay respect to all deceased members who served their communities.
