Nesconset Fire Department responded to a water rescue at Lake Ronkonkoma at around 6:30 pm. Units arriving on location found two people in the water holding onto their over turn canoes. The two people where able to swim to the shore safely with the help of Bill Pfeiffer from Nesconset Fire Department who swam out to rescue them. Mutual aid from St. James, Lakeland, Ronkonkoma Fire Department where also called in
