Nesconset FD busy in the early morning…..

The Nesconset Fire Department was activated at 1:16am on Saturday, June 26, 2021 for a report of a Vehicle Fire in the Taco Bell parking lot at NYS Route 347 and Southern Boulevard. Initial arriving units encountered a fully involved vehicle fire with a large gasoline fire spreading in the parking lot. Firefighters from Engine 4-4-1 arrived on scene and deployed a hose line to contain and extinguish the fire. Firefighters from second due Engine 4-4-2 assisted. First Responder 4-4-80 and Ambulance 4-4-6A were also on scene and all units operated under the command of Assistant Chief Daniel Madden. Units cleared the scene at 02:21.

Nesconset firefighters were called out again at 03:38 for a report of a Motor Vehicle Accident with an overturned vehicle at the intersection of Eklund Boulevard and Tulip Street. The first units on scene encountered a vehicle overturned in the roadway after coming in contact with a parked vehicle. First Responder 4-4-80, Ambulance 4-4-6A, Heavy Rescue 4-4-9 and Engine 4-4-2 operated under the command of Assistant Chief Daniel Madden and cleared the scene at 03:55.
