At 2328 hours, Wednesday April 7th, 2021 the Nesconset Fire Department was requested to assist the Ronkonkoma Fire Department for a water rescue in the vicinity of Round Pond Road and Hans Blvd. The departments were dispatched after a 911 caller reported seeing shorts and shoes by the pond and heard splashing in the water. Our divers entered the water to search for an hour before the scene was turned over to SCPD for further investigation. Nesconset operated under the direction of Chief of Department A.J. Anderson.
