At 17:44 on Sunday, March 7, the Nesconset Fire Department was alerted to a fire in the woods along Sammis Steet. First arriving units found a small area of brush burning that was quickly extinguished by brush units 4-4-4 and 4-4-8 with support from Engine 4-4-1. All units operated under the command of Chief AJ Anderson and cleared from the scene at 18:26.
