Nesconset Fire Department held their annual memorial day services at their main fire headquarters honoring the servicemen who sacrificed their lives for freedom. Chief James C. Keane during his speech stressed the importance of remembering those lost to war, but also thanking those who came home, and expressed the real meaning of the day often celebrated with barbecues and social gatherings. Members of the department placed wreaths to remember the fallen veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice.
