On August 19, the men and women of the Nesconset and St. James fire department attended Nassau county fire academy for a Class A drill. As they approached the scene, there was smoke showing from the 2nd floor, they soon learn upon making entry, search team one found fire on the first floor. Hose team one attacked a fire on the first floor. Search team 2 made entery to the 2nd floor and communicated to command 2 separate fires on the 2nd floor. Hose team 2 escorted the second floor hose team to the fire as hose team 1 covered them on the stairs. Nesconset and St. James worked together as a team to work quickly and effectively to put the fire out.
