At 5:09pm on Friday, April 7, 2023 the Nesconset Fire Department was requested to the scene of a Residential Structure Fire on Kirby Lane in Ronkonkoma.

Initial arriving units encountered fire to the exterior of the structure, with extension to the attic space necessitating a coordinated fire suppression using multiple hand lines.

Engine 4-4-1 responded to the scene and performed overhaul and assisted with securing the scene.

All Nesconset firefighters operated under the command of Chief Frank Ragona and cleared from the scene at 6:46pm.
