At 6:45am on Friday, March 24, 2023 the St. James and Nesconset Fire Departments respond to a report of a kitchen fire on Muffins Meadow Road in Head of the Harbor. Nesconset Engine 4-4-1 arrived second due and assisted with water supply, fire suppression and overhaul.

Additional Mutual aid was requested from the Setauket Fire Department for a ladder, Smithtown FD for an engine and the Nissequogue Fire Department for an engine.

All units operated under the command of Assistant Chief AJ Anderson and cleared from the scene by 0840 hours. Fire Marshals from the Town of Smithtown remained on scene to conduct an investigation.
