Nesconset FD Responds to Residential Structure Fire

The Nesconset Fire Department was activated for a report of a residential structure fire on Hill Avenue in Nesconset at 3:48PM on Sunday June 19, 2022. Initial arriving units located an active fire in the laundry room. A hose line was stretched and placed into operation and the fire was quickly knocked down. Units on scene overhauled the fire room, removed the clothes dryer and secured the utilities. Nesconset Engines 4-4-1 and 4-4-3 and Ambulances 4-4-6A and 4-4-6B responded to the scene. Mutual Aid response to the scene: Happauge FD Engine 3-8-1, Ronkonkoma FD Engine 5-24-10, St. James FD Engine 4-3-2 , Lakeland FD Ladder 3-13-3. Stony Brook FD provided standby Ambulance to Nesconset FD Headquarters for the duration of the alarm. All units operated under the command of Chief Frank Ragona and cleared from the scene by 5:37PM.

Fire Marshals from the Smithtown Department of Public Safety responded to scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
