At 12:38 on Sunday June 6, 2021 the Nesconset Fire Department responded to a report of a Motor Vehicle Accident at Smithtown Boulevard and Sheppard Lane. Initial arriving units found 2 vehicles that collided in the intersection and came to a rest off the road. Although the impact was very severe the injuries were somewhat minor and the injured were transported to local hospital by Ambulance 4-4-6A. Heavy Rescue 4-4-9 and Engine 4-4-2 operated on scene to secure the vehicles and Fire Police 4-4-10 ensured scene safety. All units operated under the command of Assistant Chief Frank Ragona and cleared from the scene at 12:55.
