Nesconset Fire Department was called out for a motor vehicle accident heavy rescue with entrapment at the intersection of Middle Country Road and Southern Boulevard at around 9:15 pm. Under the command of 1st Assistant Chief John Martins, members of Heavy Rescue used the spreaders and cutters to remove the drivers side door. Five patients were taken to Stony Brook Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Mutual aid from St James and Nissequogue Fire Department responded.
