Nesconset Fire Department responded to a residential structure on Hillside Avenue South on Monday evening around 5:45 pm. Units arriving on scene met with the home owner who informed fire officials that a local fuel oil company has made a delivery and they just recently had their fuel tank removed and converted to gas. Fire Fighters removed personal belongings from the home and applied speedy dry absorbent.

The Town Of Smithtown Fire Marshals Office was notified and is investigating the incident.
