Nesconset Fire Department was activated for a Signal 13 on Tuesday, February 1 at 2329 hours.  First arriving Chief reported a working fire.  First Due engine 4-4-5 picked up the hydrant on Lake Ave and operated two handlines after an initial knockdown with the deck gun. Additional mampower supplied by other units.  The fire was in a detached garage.  An adjacent two story residential structure cause an extension concern.  Under the command of Chief of Department Kevin Zanfardino, the fire was extinguished and all units returned to quarters in about 2 hours.

Responding units were Chiefs 4-4-30, 4-4-31, 4-4-32, 4-4-33, Engines 4-4-5, 4-4-3, 4-4-2, Ladder 4-4-7, Heavy Rescue 4-4-9, Safety Officer SO-1, and Smithtown Fire Marshal 4-0-43
